2009 scedule:

• March 28 Charlotte area cookout. THE 02 GROUP kicks off the driving season with a cookout at drive. More info to follow. If you are new to the group I would strongly suggest you try to make this event even if your 2002 isn't running so we can meet you.
• April 24-25 non-02 group event: MidAmerica02fest - Arkansas If you are interested in caravaning with Mike and Humberto, let me know. http://www.midamerica02fest.com/ .
• April 30-May 3  non-02 group event Walter Mitty vintage races at Road Atlanta http://classicmotorsports.net/events/mitty-09/ 02 GROUP road trip and camping at the track.
• May 9th non-02 group event  MidWest 02ers spring get together, Cambridge OH Jim Denker has invited THE 02 GROUP to their spring get together. There will be a drive and then activities at Salt Fork State Park. Contact Jim Denker for more info j.denker@sbcglobal.net
• May 24th , 6th annual Vintage at the Vineyards, Dobson, NC . This is going to be the best one yet folks! Morning drive to the winery, display during the day at Shelton Vineyards, then a drive on Sunday morning. Visit the event website :  www.vintageatthevineyards.com  for all the details. 
  
• June 28th Autocross with our Fiat brethren, partial 02 group event   Winston-Salem, NC Dixie Classic Fairgrounds. We will be helping the Fiat gathering run an autocross in which we will get to run in also. $20 per person includes pizza!  REGISTER: http://www.flu.org/carolinaflu/
• July 15-19 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix , PA.  non-02 group event  BMW is the featured marque this year. I've heard a lot of good things about this event so this may be the year we try to head up there. www.pvgp.org

• Sept. 12 Western NC Drive . Drive from Asheville around the Highlands and back with dinner in Waynsville at a German brew pub. More details to come.
  
• Oct. 17 , 4th annual 02berfest!  MAXIMUM EFFORT EVENT.  Brooke and Shanes place just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Drive on Saturday morning, then cookout Saturday evening. Room for tent campers, hotel nearby. More details to come. 234 Allison lane, Sparta NC 28675 . • Nov. 7th   annual Seagrove/Uwharrie Drive,   Annual covered Bridge, Pottery, and Fruitcake Drive. We will gather in "downtown" Seagrove at the interesection of (Old US 220 and Main St.) on Saturday right after lunch time. Plans will be like always to leave Seagrove at 1pm and head out into the Uwharrie Hills to the covered bridge. We will be stopping off at the covered bridge and will return to Seagrove for a bit of shopping, and then off to Southern Supreme Fruitcake. We should be done by about 5pm.
